Picasso Rooster

Picasso's piece
Harmony Art Mom's Sketch Tuesday is inspiring and a reason to get to some fun art projects.  This week, she encouraged us to sketch Picasso's Rooster.  We had a great time.  We didn't use chalk pastels as she suggested, as DD11 wanted to try oil pastels.  They turned out really neat!

I love the brilliantly deep colors Picasso used, as well as the messiness of it all.  The oil pastels achieved a deep color that is hard to duplicate with regular crayons or paints.  I hope you try this project out!  It was very enjoyable.
